Project Description:
Foursquare posted an infographic on check-ins related to travel by plane, train, and automobile, in honor of Thanksgiving travel. The infographic covers time from Halloween until post-Christmas in 2010. Automobile traffic is determined by checkpins on highways and roads, which corresponds overall with major interstates. Airplane and train travel is determined by check-ins at two different airports or train stations at the same day. Most people who check-in are flying, while those traveling by train are usually traveling in specific parts of the country.
