Project Description:
A mobile call dataset provides insight into how a network changes over time, and the authors find a simple statistical law that can characterize this temporal evolution. Surprisingly, strong ties among agents inhibit information diffusion across networks. These networks depict the calls within three hours between people in the same time, while the last network in blue presents the total weighted social network structure, aggregated over 6 months. Node size and color indicate user activity. Link width and color indicate weight of the interaction.
