Project Description:
Xebece is a multipurpose tool for information visualization and organization. It can be used in a variety of areas such as Document and Knowledge Management, Mind Mapping and Brainstorming. Xebece is the program that was formerly known as Calientra, which was formerly known as Ontographics.

In contrast to many mindmapping tools, Xebece allows you to actually use generated structures: this is accomplished by the integration of catalogues, attachment of documents, and generation of reusable XML documents. You can also attach documents (e.g. PDF files or images) to the nodes of the tree that is shown in a Xebece presentation. A file generated by Xebece (*.cal) encapsulates copies of all files attached.

Xebece utilizes the Prefuse library , which was developed by Jeffrey Heer.
