Project Description:
As part of an extended article on George Lucas in the May 2005 issue, Wired Magazine produced a quite stunning map entitled "How Star Wars changed the World". The chart maps the people (green), companies (red), technologies (yellow), and movies/TV series/games (blue) touched by the Force.
The Star Wars empire has grown into one of the most fertile incubators of talent in the worlds of movies (Lucasfilm), visual effects (Industrial Light & Magic), sound (Skywalker Sound), and videogames (LucasArts). Along the way, some of the original George Lucas crew has gone on to become his biggest competitors.
