Project Description:
The combination of data from social networks and structured information about interest graphs promises a new data-driven shopping and marketing experience. Social networks provide information about networks of friends and personal profiles, while interest graph data connects people with the same interests depending on shared products and collections. However, analytical techniques are still important for making sense of this information. The bottom graph demonstrates the importance of analytics for displaying the different influencer communities in the social network. Red nodes represent users, while green nodes are products. Edges between nodes represent either friendships or follow-ships, or social mentions of certain products.
