Project Description:
GeneaQuilts provides a new visualization technique to visualize the overwhelming and complex connections of large genealogies, which can comprise up to several thousand individuals. The visualization is in the form of a diagonally-filled matrix. Rows represent individuals, while columns indicate nuclear familiars. The visualization technique is housed in a software package that allows you to generate timelines, search and filters, and use fluid navigation in large genealogies.
