Project Description:
Satasha's series of graphic visualizations portray synaesthesia, a condition where stimulation of one sensory pathway leads to automatic associations and sensations along another pathway. People with synaesthesia might taste colors or hear numbers. The visual maps portray the condition and show how the five senses are interrelated. Satasha chose water, the element that best represents the connectedness of the senses, and visualized the data using the time of the day tof each occurrence. The different shades of each line represent the number of senses involved for each singular experience.
