Project Description:
This visualization shows the distribution of 10,568,679 items on Wikipedia, sorted by type, e.g., temporal entity, physical entity, living organism, group of humans. It shows for instance that Wikipedia describes 2,424,305 humans, 588,822 Chinese villages, 152,692 music albums, and 139,319 movies. The type of each item on Wikipedia can be determined from the metadata analysis and its built-in "Instance of" attribute.
